Areas We Serve
We're based at 801 Riverside Dr E in Bradenton on the Manatee River, and from that one dock we have access to one of the most varied saltwater fisheries in Florida. Within a 30-minute boat ride we can be on the flats around Anna Maria Island, in the passes off Egmont Key, working ledges in lower Tampa Bay, fishing the mangroves of Cortez, or running the beaches off Holmes Beach. That's the geographic advantage of our home water and it's why our trips can pivot to wherever the bite actually is.
Captain Charlie Tita has fished these exact waters for over 35 years. He's a Tampa Bay native, holds a USCG Merchant Mariner Captain's License earned through Sea School in 2000, and runs a 2021 Parker 25' rigged for inshore, nearshore, and offshore work.
Below are the areas we cover, each with its own page detailing what we fish, where we go, and what makes that stretch of water unique.
Areas we serve
The seven-mile barrier island at the mouth of Tampa Bay. Bean Point at the north tip, Coquina Beach at the south, and some of the best inshore and nearshore fishing on Florida's Gulf coast in between. World-class tarpon migration in summer, snook on the beaches, and constant access to Egmont Key for snorkel stops.
Heart of the island, home to Manatee Public Beach and the Kingfish Boat Ramp. We can pick up here with advance notice. Productive fishing all around: Anna Maria Sound to the east, Tampa Bay flats to the north, Gulf beaches to the west.
The southern third of Anna Maria Island. The Historic Bridge Street Pier, Coquina Beach, and Longboat Pass at the south end give us access to a different fishery (Sarasota Bay system) with snook, redfish, and trout in protected water.
Just across the Manatee River from our home dock, with Snead Island, Emerson Point Preserve, and Terra Ceia Bay forming one of the most underrated fisheries in the area. Local water for Captain Charlie since boyhood.
Florida's last working commercial fishing village, founded in the 1880s. The mangrove edges, channel, and bay south of Cortez Road hold serious fish year-round. Fishing here means fishing the same water as four generations of working watermen.
Beyond these primary areas
We also regularly fish Longboat Key, Egmont Key, lower Tampa Bay around the Sunshine Skyway, the Manatee River up through Palmetto and Ellenton, and Sarasota Bay. If you have a specific area in mind, call (727) 331-1532 and we'll talk through whether it makes sense for your trip.
How "areas we serve" actually works
A few things to understand about how we operate:
One departure point. All trips begin and end at 801 Riverside Dr E in Bradenton. Free parking on site, easy to find, no fighting for a spot at a busy public ramp.
Pickup options on Anna Maria Island. With advance notice, we can pick up at Kingfish Boat Ramp (752 Manatee Ave, Holmes Beach) or arrange other meetups. This works well if you're staying on AMI and don't want to drive to the mainland.
The boat goes where the fish are. Our home water gives us radial access to all of these areas. On any given day, the right answer might be inside the Manatee River, out at Egmont Key, or working the AMI beaches. Captain Charlie picks the spot, you catch the fish.
Real local knowledge, not a map. Charlie didn't read about this water in a guidebook. He grew up on it, ran charters across it for decades, and knows which rocks hold fish on which tides. That's what you're hiring.
