The most popular trip we offer and the best starting point for first-timers, families, and anyone who wants steady action. Inshore trips fish the Manatee River, the bays around the Sunshine Skyway, and the flats and mangroves near Anna Maria Island. Primary targets are snook, redfish, and seatrout, with sheepshead, mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, jack crevalle, and flounder all in the mix depending on the season.

A focused trip for anglers who want to target Florida's most iconic inshore gamefish. Snook fishing in Bradenton is exceptional thanks to the mix of mangrove shoreline, dock structure, oyster bars, and pass mouths in our home waters. We adjust tactics by season: live whitebait around the mangroves in summer, deeper passes during spawn, and warmer creek mouths and rivers in winter. Light tackle, artificials or live bait, and a fish that will absolutely smoke a drag.

For groups who want bigger pulls and a taste of offshore without a long boat ride. We run up to 9 miles into the Gulf of Mexico to fish ledges, rock piles, and hard bottom. Typical catches include mangrove and lane snapper, gag and red grouper (in season), Spanish mackerel, kingfish, and the occasional cobia or shark. Light tackle, drift, jigging, and bottom rigs all in play.

Bucket-list fishing. From May through July (with a strong shoulder window into August), tarpon migrate through the passes around Anna Maria Island, Egmont Key, and Tampa Bay in massive numbers. We chase them with live crabs and threadfin herring, sight-casting and live-baiting fish that regularly run 100 to 150 pounds. This is heavy tackle, strict catch and release, and one of the most physical fights in saltwater fishing.

Built for families, kids, and groups of mixed experience. We keep the bite steady, the action close to shore, and the day flexible. The Parker 25 has the room and stability for 8, plenty of shaded console space, and a smooth Deep-V hull that handles light chop without making anyone seasick. We can mix in a snorkel stop at Egmont Key, dolphin watching, or a swim at a sandbar to break up the day. Catch fish, make memories, get the kids hooked on the water.

Why book with Nautical Native

There are a lot of fishing charters in Bradenton. Here's what makes ours different.

A real local captain. Captain Charlie was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and has fished these waters for over three decades. That matters when conditions change, when one spot stops producing, and when you need someone who knows the alternate spots without checking an app.

A serious boat. The 2021 Parker 25' is a real fishing platform. Deep-V hull for a soft ride, twin Yamahas for range, Rhodan trolling motor for stealth on the flats, and an EPIRB for offshore safety. It's set up to fish hard and run dry.

Catch fish guaranteed. That's not a marketing line, it's how the trips are designed. Bait, location, and tactics get adjusted in real time so the rods stay bent.

Private trips only. You book the boat, you set the tone. Avid angler crew, kids' first trip, bachelor party, family vacation, corporate group, the day flexes around your party.

Bradenton Fishing Charter FAQs

How much does a fishing charter in Bradenton cost? Trips with Nautical Native start at $425 for a 3 hour charter. 4, 6, and 8 hour options are available, with longer trips priced accordingly. Pricing is per boat, not per person, so splitting it between a group makes it very reasonable.

How many people can come on the charter? Up to 8 anglers. The Parker 25' is rated and rigged for the group.

Do I need a fishing license? No. Your saltwater fishing license is covered under the captain's charter license while you're aboard.

What should I bring? Food, drinks, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, non-marking shoes or bare feet, and a camera. Bring layers in winter mornings.

What if the weather is bad? We monitor conditions closely. If it's unsafe to run, we reschedule at no charge. Captain Charlie will reach out the day before if there's a concern.

Can kids come? Absolutely. Family trips are a huge part of what we do. We have gear sized for kids and we fish in protected water on family-focused trips so the bite is steady and the boat ride is smooth.

Do you keep the fish? Your call. We clean and bag any keepers at the dock at the end of the trip. Some species (like tarpon and out-of-season snook or redfish) are strict catch and release under Florida law.

What's the best time of year to fish in Bradenton? Honestly, every month produces. Tarpon May through July, snook spring through fall, redfish year-round with peak in fall, grouper open seasons in summer, sheepshead in winter. We pick the trip type to match what's biting.

Do you offer corporate or group bookings? Yes. Bachelor parties, corporate days, multi-boat group bookings, and tournaments can all be arranged.
